The works of Joan Miró, who was a close friend of Eduardo Chillida in life, have traveled to the Zabalaga farmhouse, which houses the Chillida Leku Museum, and are now profusely collected in this volume. As Ignacio Chillida explains in the prologue, the relationship between his father and Joan Miró was forged in the shared summers at the Fondation Maeght de Saint-Paul-de-Vence (France) and was consolidated with the public and notorious support that the two always professed.
This volume collects forty pieces by Joan Miró, between sculptures and graphic work, in images that show both the isolated works and those integrated in the fascinating space devised by Chillida. Women-suns, solar birds, women with shell heads, lizards with golden feathers and a whole series of fantastic sculptures arising from Miró's unique imagination dialogue with beautiful lithographs in pure colors, totally Miró-esque, and even with a tapestry made by Miró. artist together with Josep Royo.
