The jury awarded the 2011 Joan Miró Prize to Palestinian–British artist Mona Hatoum for her ability to connect personal experience with universal values. “Projection”, curated by Martina Millà in close collaboration with Mona Hatoum, is the artist’s first monographic exhibition in Barcelona.
